Be Strong, Do Not Fear, and WORK
This morning we continued our series of messages from Haggai examining Haggai 2:1-9. This is Haggai's second message in the Book, and offers a word of encouragement to the people as they have now been motivated to rebuild the temple after a period of 16 years of indifference and apathy toward the worship of God.
Last week, as saw in "A Word of Rebuke" that Haggai and the Lord needed to motivate the people to GO, BRING, and BUILD. To get back on course for building the Temple. And just as WE, the church, ARE THE TEMPLE of the Holy Spirit, we need to remember that our task is to daily GO and make disciples, BRING ourselves to the altar as a living sacrifice, and BUILD the Body of Christ by edifying those in the church.
This week, we added to those tasks the truth that we must BE STRONG (confident in the Lord and His Word), Not Fear (fear is the opposite of faith), and WORK hard at building the body!!
